Auburn hosts Victory Day for special fans
Auburn Tigers head coach Alex Golesh is starting a few new traditions at Auburn that we at the Game Day Foundation fully support. His latest addition was the inaugural Victory Day in August. Just like us, Golesh recogizes the power of college sports to create wonderful memories for special fans. Before he has even coached at game at Auburn, we think this event was a big “win” for all participants.
Golesh, along withthe Auburn football staff and players hosted Victory Day on Sunday, Aubust 30, 2026. The event brought athletes from the university’s EAGLES program, a “comprehensive transition program for students with intellectual disabilities,” as well as members of the Lee County Special Olympics team to Jordan-Hare Stadium for their own special "game day” experience on Pat Dye field. Ann Finlen, the inspiration for the Game Day Foundation, was a part of Lee County Special Olympics for many years and we have worked with the Auburn Athletic Department since the beginning of Game Day so we especially appreciate Coach Golesh creating this new event and look forward to future editions.
